About Maki & Settimo arcano

It's time to write a proper description for me and my blog! My name is Martina, a forever nineteen girl from Italy who lives in an iridescent world. Please, call me Maki! I'm into japanese culture since years, that's why I love anime, manga, cosplay, street fashion and everything linked with the land of the rising sun ❤ I also have a big passion for photography, beauty, tutorials and web design as well.

Settimo Arcano contains blog entries about my passions, but at first it was really chaotic. In July 2012 I created a blog named "archanuum", it was only a personal space, written in my native language, nothing special! But then, after running my cosplay blog www.makieraclea.com, I started pretending more from me and my blog. I wanted to write reviews, tutorials and helpful articles. So Settimo Arcano became something more than a personal space (or at least I tried ahah) ❤

As you can see, the blog has a different name now: Settimo means "seventh" in italian, and Arcano corresponds to "arcane". Why? Well, seven is my favourite number since years (I found it everything, willy-nilly!) and "arcane" is the way I see myself (I think that everyone thinks that something about their personality is mysterious).
Moreover, in the tarots, the seventh arcane is the "chariot" (which is also associated to my zodiacal sign). This major arcana has a lot of intresting interpretation, but this is my favourite:

The Chariot is a card about overcoming conflicts and moving forward in a positive direction. These conflicts could be internal or external. Internally it's a case of ridding yourself from your demons if you have any. Externally it's a case of managing any conflicting circumstances, people or events and turning everything to your advantage. The chariot is there to help speed you onwards and upwards and this is a good card to have in your spread. It can be symbolic of motivation, determination and is linked to providing the tools necessary for you to win.
It means a union of opposites, like the black and white steeds. They pull in different directions, but must be made to go together in one direction. Control is required over opposing emotions, wants, needs, people, or circumstances; to bring them together and give them a single direction, your direction. Confidence is also needed and, most especially, motivation. The card can, in fact, indicate new motivation or inspiration, which gets a stagnant situation moving again.
